The cap size will depend on your RMS power of the amplifier. For example, if your amp is a 1000 watt RMS, it will be a good idea to get a 1 Farad capacitor. If your amp is a 2000 RMS, you need a 2.0 or bigger and so on. It's always recommended to get a bigger cap size to be able to store more power when your amp really needs it.
