Bobelock Violin Cases are Built to Last
When shopping for a violin case, the sheer amount of choices offered to you can quickly make the experience overwhelming if you don't know exactly what you are looking for. If you are a student looking for a cheap case to carry around your instrument, there are cases made to fit within a small budget. If you are a professional looking to house your 150-year-old German masterpiece, you can find cases that are themselves works of art and can costs thousands of dollars.

These two cases are fairly comparable and offer just about everything you would need. Depending upon the size of the case, the wooden Half Moon case is either 5 or 6.5 pounds; light enough to make it easily portable.
The Oblong Featherlite case is a standard plywood case with a Styrofoam padding that gives it durability without increasing weight. These cases come standard with hygrometers, the necessary shoulder straps and everything you need inside to carry your bows and strings. The choice of fabrics and materials is broad enough to suit almost anyone.
If you're looking for more of a traditional style with a modern twist, the Arrow might be more to your liking. The Arrow is even lighter than the wooden cases at only 5.3 pounds, while offering the protection and durability of fiberglass. These cases are pricier, but offer more features and resilience than wooden cases.
If you travel a lot and need the extra protection for your instrument or want something a little lighter to carry around, fiberglass cases may suit you better. They also come with Bobelock's "super seal" valence closure and padded travel case.
The fiberglass version of the Half Moon case is slightly heavier at 6.5 pounds, but is still available in many feature packed styles. It offers even more options than the other cases, including a leather-like handle and humistat that will aid in keeping your instrument humidified when you travel.
Triangle Strings offers several cases that will meet almost any musician's needs, even if you want to carry more than one instrument at a time. The Oblong Double violin case lets you carry twice as many instruments with less than twice the weight and without the hassle of carrying two cases.
The case is also less expensive than buying two separate cases and is built with the same quality as the rest of their cases. Regardless of which case you choose from the Bobelock line, every case is built to last.
