First released over half a century ago, the Fender Stratocaster remains popular and is probably the most iconic, recognisable guitar in history. The Fender American Standard Stratocaster is well-known for its versatility and has been used over the years for blues, rock, metal, country and jazz.
The Fender guitar also has a substantial historical importance in terms of its technological advancement and influence on the culture from which it originated. It has evolved and gone through various technical changes based on the demands of players. These subtle changes have in turn altered the way musicians play which then change the course of human cultural history.
The latest Fender American Standard Strat combines subtle refinements in its attempt to achieve better playing, sounding, and looking results.
Sound:
It's an iconic strat sound with a perfect mid range punchy sound. It's quiet, bright with no buzz, and the tones from all pickups are exactly as expected. You can get any sound out of it, distortion, clean, etc., and you can play any kind of music with it (from country to classic rock, to blues) depending on what type of amps, effects and settings you use. It sounds good on stage and even better on recording.
Ease Of Use:
It's very easy to manuever with. With the rolled Fret board, it's easier to play than the Les Paul. You just set the tone and volume on this strat and plug-in and play.
Quality:
The tremelo block is a bit weird, although it may not be an issue as you might not need it for the type of music you play. Otherwise, it's a very well made, frets rounded, beautiful finish, quality guitar. You can probably depend on this Fender strat for a life time as long as you take care of it.
