The best shopping bargain items in the Philippines are handicraft items, household items, jewelry, baskets and vases, as well as RTW (ready to wear) dresses, especially embroidered or appliqué cotton dresses, the traditional Barong Tagalog, furniture, shell craft jewelry, snake skin jewelry, and antiques.

The handicraft items you want to shop for are carved statues and religious icons.
o Household items
Focus your shopping on items such as Tiffany lamps and furniture accessories made of Capiz, which is a shell from the oceans surrounding the Philippines.

Bargains abound in the Philippines for jewelry made of gold, silver, brass and pearl.

Bamboo and rattan furniture from the Philippines is world - famous. Less well known, but of the highest quality is their production of hand carved furniture.

You will find beautiful jewelry made form shells harvested from the oceans surrounding the Philippines. I used to have a shell craft factory in Cebu City where we manufactured for export to the USA market designer jewelry made form shells. Beautiful hand -crafted pieces can be found at a bargain, especially if you travel to Cebu City and shop.
o Snake skin products
The Filipinos really know how to create belts, purses and other accessories using snake skin. However, before purchasing you need to be aware of your particular country's import regulations. You wouldn't want to have to surrender your item at your country's port of entry.

Antique hunters will love shopping the Philippines. The Philippines is a haven for antiques, with most shopping centered in the major Manila metropolitan area.
