There are some excellent modular synthesizer brands on the market today. It is well worth taking a look to see what they have to offer. The following are some of those with a reputable background and carry a good selection.
Blacet.com is the place you want to go if you have a budget in mind. They offer some great prices. They only carry high quality merchandise. You may not be impressed with the appearances of the product, but they are noted for sounding a lot better than their looks. They have models such as the Improbability Drive. This is a very impressive analogue noise generator. Here you will also find the Binary Zone. This is a dedicated CV/Gate logic module.
If you want something that is going to enhance your décor then visit analoguesystems.co.uk. They carry a whole range of analogue systems with a wide range of modules. You have a good choice of what you want to buy. This of course depends on your budget. All modules can be purchased separately. They have the RS-Integrator product range. These include pre-built systems. If you decide you want to be really extravagant then go for one of their spectacular digital delay/sampler and vocal/phase filter bank. If you are looking for an in-built keyboard then you may want to check out their Sorcerer controller keyboard. You will have the option to fill in with the synth modules of your choice.
You may know of analogue solutions.com for Red Square and Vostok semi modular synths. This company has an extremely interesting variety of synthesizer equipment. They have their own line that they produce called Concussor series. They have some really interesting percussion models to give you the ancient drum sounds. You will be quite surprised to see the Roland TR-808 cowbell module here. They also carry the standard subtractive modules along with the sequencing and utility ones.
We can't leave out cwejman.net. They became known for their "S" series hybrid semi modular rack synthesizers.You can be creative with items from this company by building your own Cwejman modules. They have just come out with their own like of Eurorack format modules. Although new there have been reports that says they are just as good as the previous ones made by this company. Unfortunately the price hasn't changed. If you decide to build your own module then check out the other outboard-style modules and two different compressors. Don't pass by without checking out the dual oscillator module that actually has a built in ring modulator.
If you are in the market for MIDI controller keyboards, sequencers and a variety of other types of modular gear then see Doepher. They have what they call at A-100 line of modules. Within this line, you will find a light controlled CV interface module that is really unique. In addition, it includes sampling oscillators as well as the standard items. There have been some users that were not happy with oscillators and filters when it came to their sound capabilities. Quality problems have been an issue because of the small size of the modules and knobs. This should not take away from the fact that they are very flexible and creative.
If you have heard about the Zeroscillator then you have heard about Cyndustris.com. Although this is a pricey item, it was built to be utilized in other modular synthesizer formats. If you are looking for something unique to add to your existing system then you may want to check out some of the really unusual products that you are going to find here. A good example of this is the Super Psycho LFO or the Sawtooth Animator. By the way word has it that cyndustries is the only woman run synth company in existence.

Dwarfcraft Hax Ring Modulator Guitar Effects Pedal $200 The Dwarfcraft Hax guitar pedal is part ring mod, part synthesizer, and part guitar-mutator-injector machine that belts out fuzzy, fuzzy noise. The Hax pedal creates a squarewave at a predetermined musical distance from your input signal.The Hax Pedal's tune dial adjusts the ring modulation. A Moog expression pedal control lets you activate the Hax pedal hands-free, so you can change your rock tones while you're rockin' out (Moog expression pedal not included). The Blend control lets you have full ring modulation, or a clean tone dialed in the other direction. The Hax pedal gives an almost-pitch-shifter effect to your guitar, although the tone you get is not clean by any means. Hax has a wide oscillator range, from put-put-put robot farts to demon squeals. The High/Low Stop switch changes the oscillator's range. The Hi/Low switch quick switches between tones. You get a little bit smoother control on the pitch in the high range, but it's much tougher to dial in a tremolo-type effect. The dirty tone you can get in the high range is a mind-bending freq-out that would make Stereolab and Dr. Robert Moog happy. Finally, the Crash knob, while not easily controllable, lends some truly insane sonic qualities to Hax ring modulator pedal.
