Pearls are the only precious stones made by a Living animal. Formation of pearls : Pearl formation occurs in different ways. A few of these are
1.Natural Pearls formation: It occurs because of nature without any involvement from human being. Natural pearl formation occurs generally near sand places or near seashell. Now a days true natural pearls are the most rare. These are known to be the most precious pearls. These pearls were generally used in old days jewelry.
2.Cultured Pearl formation: this is also he same as natural pearls. The only difference is that man also plays an important role but in a controlled manner. Now a days, the large number of pearls sold are of this form.
