As far as form is concerned, it has a wonderfully sleek appearance, although some may consider it to be somewhat heavy, given that it weighs nearly 17 pounds.
With a price tag of less that $300, the Onkyo TX-8255 costs far less than most other comparable stereo receivers on the market, and of course this is also something which weighs heavily in its favor.
Onkyo produces quality audio/video equipment and value, which are certainly features that many of today's customers rate as being important. In fact, it's never been the company's goal to produce high-end stereo receivers, and the Onkyo TX-8255 is no exception to the rule. This is perhaps the only drawback of this stereo receiver, in that it isn't a high-end unit.
The vast majority of customers have been pleased with all the Onkyo features, and reasonable the unit's price tag. To be honest, I doubt you'll be able to find many stereo receivers that deliver better value, than this.
