Parts Project
![]() |
Vintage project cars are old cars that people buy to use in their car repair hobby. Usually, we are talking about cars from the fifties, sixties and the seventies. Cars prior to the fifties are very hard to find. Their parts broke much easier than car parts of later decades. For this reason, there are hardly any of those parts to be found. And that's why cars much older than the fifties are almost extinct. Sometimes, people will also refer to eighties and nineties cars as 'vintage'. Whether these cars are vintage or not, is up to you to decide. The most important is that these cars can very well be used for an automobile repair hobby.
Vintage Project Cars For Sale
When looking for a 'project car', you are looking for an automobile that is incomplete. In other words, it's missing crucial parts that keep the car from running. In some cases, the car will run but it's missing other elementary parts such as a steering wheel or a console. The great thing about project cars with missing parts, is that they cost much less than when you would've bought a complete vintage vehicle. When you buy a vintage car without an engine and you find, purchase and put in the right engine for this car, your total costs will be less than buying the same automobile with the working engine already in it.
This is what makes vintage automobile repair such a great hobby. You can get a lot of satisfaction from gathering all the car parts and then putting them back together again to come up with a drivable car. It's rewarding to take the vehicle for a spin. But many people also sell their working vintage vehicle for a profit. So not only can you get a lot of joy from this hobby, you can also use it to make a few extra bucks.
In some cases, people enjoy vintage auto repair so much that the whole hobby just gets completely out of hand and they turn it into a real business. If you're an automobile aficionado and you are looking for an opening in the market, you may want to think about taking this up as a hobby. The great thing about it is that you're not just another car garage that maintains modern cars. You'll be creating something exotic and you'll be obeying your own deadlines and nobody else's. After all, demand for these vintage muscle cars is so high... car lovers from all over the country will be coming to you with filled out checks in hand!

The Toaster Project (Paperback) $25.65 Where do our things really come from? China is the most common answer, but Thomas Thwaites decided he wanted to know more. In The Toaster Project, Thwaites asks what lies behind the smooth buttons on a mobile phone or the cushioned soles of running sneakers. What is involved in extracting and processing materials? To answer these questions, Thwaites set out to construct, from scratch, one of the most commonplace appliances in our kitchens today: a toaster. The Toaster Project takes the reader on Thwaites s journey from dismantling the cheapest toaster he can find in London to researching how to smelt metal in a fifteenth-century treatise. His incisive restrictions all parts of the toaster must be made from scratch and Thwaites had to make the toaster himself made his task difficult, but not impossible. It took nine months and cost 250 times more than the toaster he bought at the store. In the end, Thwaites reveals the true ingredients in the products we use every day. Most interesting is not the final creation but the lesson learned. The Toaster Project helps us reflect on the costs and perils of our cheap consumer culture and the ridiculousness of churning out millions of toasters and other products at the expense of the environment. If products were designed more efficiently, with fewer parts that are easier to recycle, we would end up with objects that last longer and we would generate less waste altogether. Foreword by David Crowley, head of critical writing at the Royal College of Art and curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum. |

The Linux Router Project $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Linux Router Project (LRP) is a now defunct networkingcentric micro Linux distribution. The released versions of LRP were small enough to fit on a single 1.44MB floppy disk, and made building and maintaining routers, access servers, thin servers, thin clients, network appliances, and typically embedded systems next to trivial. LRP was conceived and primarily developed by Dave Cinege from 1997 until 2002. It began originally as a router on a floppy and evolved into a streamlined general purpose network operating system. The oldest embedded Linux distribution, LRP in whole or in part formed the basis of many other embedded system distributions and commercial products which followed it. Several parts developed or specifically enhanced for LRP are still found in common usage today such as POSIXness and BusyBox. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Juneau Icefield Research Project (1949-1958) $155 The Juneau Icefield Research Project (JIRP) was formed to find a prototype area to study Alaska's coastal glaciers and trends in climatic change. For the past 57 years JIRP has conducted a systematic study of key receding and advancing glaciers, including Lemon Creek and Taku Glaciers. From this study, a model has been developed to study the mass balance of these glaciers and their relation to general atmospheric circulation. Taku's mass balance was expected to provide a meaningful assessment of flakier climate relations and environmental trends, specifically the increase in atmospheric trace element pollution and global warming. Juneau Icefield Research Project (1949-1958) is represented by 15 chapters, organized in four parts: Background of the Project, Early Years of the Project (1949-1952, Later Years of the Project (1953-1958), and Summation and Epilogue. After describing the Project's background, Chapters 3 through 12 cover year-by-year activities, personnel, logistics, and research of the Taku and Lemon Creek Glaciers. These chapters included day-to-day journal entries that represent a record of the informal itineraries covering the course of the study. Chapters 13 and 14 summarize glaciological findings on Taku Glacier and the status of hydrological budgets on Lemon Creek Glacier through the International Geophysical year (1957-19658). The final chapter of the text is an overview of paleoecological work by the Project in North Pacific America brought into the context of modern research with the recognition of glacier-climate cycles. * Documents the study Juneau Icefield Research Project on a year-by-year account covering activities, personnel, logistics and research * Discusses the model developed from the JIRP and explains its importance in predicting future climate changes * Presents the information with day-to-day journal entries, making the text attractive and easy to read |
