The HD Mini By HTC Is An Appealing Smartphone

Utilising many of the features that you'd find on a larger Smartphone, the HTC HD Mini manages to pack a large amount of technology into a very small handset.

 

This pocket friendly handset weighs just 110 g whilst measuring 103.8x 57.7x 11.7mm.  Despite its compact dimensions, it boasts an impressive spec list utilising an array of technology.

 

The HTC HD Mini features an impressive TFT capacitive touchscreen which boasts a number of impressive features.  Up to 65K colours can be displayed resulting in high quality display of the on screen imagery.  The contents of the screen can be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms thanks to a built in accelerometer sensor.

 

In order to communicate handsfree, a built in speakerphone system is included as well as a 3.5 mm audio Jack.  Users are alerted to incoming calls and messages via both vibration and ringing.  Users also have the option to assign both MP3 and WAV music files as ringtones offering a degree of customisation of the handset.

 

Users can potentially store an entire digital music collection within the handsets to date used for utilise the integrated micro SD card slot.  This handy feature can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB.  The standard internal memory is 384 MB RAM along with 512 MB ROM.  A handy Photocall feature is included within the internal phonebook which can store a seemingly unlimited number of contacts.

 

Users of the HTC HD Mini can enjoy a super fast Internet connection thanks to integrated Wi-Fi Technology.  This utilises the signals provided by wireless Internet routers where available. 3G coverage provides the primary means of Internet connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second thanks to HSDPA along with HSUPA at 2 MB per second.  In order to connect to cellular networks, both GPRS & EDGE are provided in class 10 versions.  Micro USB and Bluetooth connections allow users to connect to other compatible hardware devices in order to carry out a range of different tasks.

 

An impressive digital camera is included within the HTC HD Mini.  This offers 5 mega pixels which operates at a high pixel resolution.  The result of this is excellent quality still images.  A number of image enhancing features including Autofocus and touch focus are included which came to simplify the task of taking good quality photos with the minimum of effort.  Geo-tagging is also included which automatically records the location at which a photo was taken thanks to GPS.  The camera also boasts the ability to shoot video footage in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.

 

Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 is the operating system utilised within the HTC HD Mini.  Alongside their 600 MHZ Qualcomm processor, this handles demanding applications with ease and provides a lightning fast user interface.  All sorts of users are catered for with the inclusion of a number of entertainment features, social networking applications and business tools.

 

The winning combination of aesthetic appeal and broad everyday functionality combined with the compact dimensions of the handset and means the HTC HD Mini looks sure to remain a popular handset.
