How Much Does Kelly Clarkson Weigh?

How much does Kelly Clarkson weigh has become a buzzword in the industry because of her excessive weight gain recently. Many sources claim that she is around 180 pounds and gaining every year. Does that really matter? Well, apart from just weight she has got everything to drive her fans crazy with her powerful voice and lyrics. So needless to say despite of her weight gain there is no downtrend to this talented woman singer, song writer and sporadic actress. Unlike other fashion icons and celebrities one thing is unique in Kelly that she hates to workout and going to gym. This shows her attitude towards her life—living life as it comes! Yes, she is the kind of lady who focuses on her job than looks.

 

Ever since she won the title of American Idol in 2002, she has become quite famous not in just America but UK and other parts of the world. The greatest testament to this statement can be attributed to her four albums that have been released till date: Thankful in 2003, Breakaway in 2004, My December 2007 and All I Ever Wanted in 2009. As per one estimate her four albums have sold over 10.5 million copies in America. Not only this in terms of number of copies sold but when it comes to popularity she is also a winner. It is believed that she is the only American Idol prize winner who begged number one position in the UK as well. A great achievement to anybody especially in the singing industry where almost everyday we see a new singer emerging. No doubt, she doesn't have a match when it comes to popularity and great fan following but recently due to her sudden weight gain she has become an apple for the eyes of celebrity gossipers. Believe it or not, in this looks-conscious world around us it is really tough to sustain on the basis of mere talent, but this is where she comes bravely and even more strongly. Hats off to you Kelly! May you live long and keep entertaining your fans with your wonderful voice. However, if possible, loose some weight to make yourself healthy and also put a full stop on the mouths of your critics.

 

Those who don't know much about her should remember that even in the Billboard Hot 100 her eleven singles became Top 20 hits. Perhaps, she is amongst a very few to achieve this great success. Just one of her singles "My Life Would Suck without You" has broken all records not in America but around the world. She became number one in March 2009 when this single broke all the rules of downloads. With over 20 million albums sold worldwide out of which 10.2 million albums only in America, she seems to break all the records. She also sung a remarkable duet with Reba McEntire and became famous for 2 Worlds 2 Voices. That's called unity in diversity. Not just America where she won the title of American Idol but she has traveled extensively around the world as a solo act. It is also said that because of her hectic lifestyle and widespread touring she loose as much as 15 pounds. So who criticize her for her weight should bear in their mind that this committed lady singer can do what she wants by living her own life in her own style.
