While their top-end instruments are still produced in Japan, Ibanez recently has outsourced quite a few of the lower-end instruments to South Korea, and the effects have been top-flight on the whole. One of their most best-selling instruments is the shred-inducing RG350DX. Let's take a look at what makes this six-string beauty so popular.

Features

The RG350DX has a basswood body, 3 piece maple Wizard II neck, and bound rosewood fretboard. On the fingerboard you'll find jumbo frets and shark inlays. Ibanez outfits the guitar with the following pickups: INF3 (neck), INFS2 (middle), and INF4 (bridge). The tremolo is an Ibanez Edge III tremolo. Black hardware is stock.

Performance

When you strap on an Ibanez RG350DX, the initial detail you'll find is how quick the neck is. In addition to Carvin, Ibanez makes some of the speediest necks you'll ever pick up. The thin, 3-piece Wizard II neck permits for painless speed. Lightning fast licks play with very little effort. Fitted with 24 huge frets, you'll be engaging deep sonic landscapes at godlike speeds in no time.

Regarding a variety of sounds, the RG350DX crosses a lot of audio landscape for a heavy metal guitar. The Infinity Single3, Infinity 3 neck humbucker, and Infinity 4 bridge humbucker allow for a large variety of tones, although as you might expect, they excel at high gain carnage.

The RG350DX features the time-honored Edge III tremolo that allows a wide range of whammy technique that returns to impeccable tuning every time. If you're not accustomed to setting a Floyd-licensed whammy bar system, it can unquestionably be a hassle, particularly if you're playing around with different tuning schemes, but for most "regular" playing, you shouldn't encounter any issues.

The Ibanez RG350DX ships outfitted with a white finish on its basswood body that showed not a single deficiency as far as we could see. The black hardware and killer sharktooth inlays perfect the aesthetic picture and definitely let anyone know that this is an instrument that offers a serious musical playing experience.
