Saving Money Buying a Pre-owned Acoustic Guitar
If you are thinking of saving money buying a pre-owned acoustic guitar then you need to be aware of some important factors. Yes you can save a huge amount of money by investing in a pre-owned guitar but you can also waste some money if you make a wrong decision when purchasing it.
For instance, there are many pre-owned guitars out there, the choice is huge, but some of them are literally pieces of junk. If you really want to save some money and you are not confident enough to choose a decent guitar then it may be worth investing in a copy of the Blue Book for guitars, with luck you may be able to find the make and model of guitar that you are looking at and be able to find any reviews on it.
It would be inadvisable to spend more than $200 on a pre-owned guitar because with a little bit more you will find you can buy a brand new acoustic guitar which will come with a guarantee.
The other way to save money and if you know a bit about acoustic guitars is to recognise a guitar that can be cheaply fixed for instance new tuners can be bought quite cheaply or you can re-hydrate the guitar yourself for instance, this can be a great help. Whilst you are looking for a pre-owned guitar you will find it most enjoyable as trying out different models can be fun, take your time, make sure you are making a qualified decision, one that you will not regret, ask other musicians which shops can be trusted to sell you the best pre-owned acoustic guitar that will be most suited to your needs.
