Beginner blues guitar is just that - learning an instrument, from the beginning. Learning an instrument is a great accomplishment. When ever you turn on the radio and hear a song, the predominate instrument you will hear is a guitar. The guitar can weave beautiful music when mastered. It takes years of practice and dedication. The first step is to buy the guitar. But how do you pick your first one?
There are many types of guitars on the market. It can be overwhelming which one to pick, even when you narrow it down to one for learning to play blues on. You have your acoustic, electric, bass, 12 strings, sitar, and many other variations. The first decision you need to make is whether you want to learn electric or acoustic blues. Ask the dealer which is best to emulate that.
After you make this life altering decision, pick out your guitar. You should pick out the color and shape you like. Make sure it feels good in your hands and check the size. Be sure you can reach the top frets without hyper extending your arm. This will cause pain later on and will unmotivated you to learn.
Now that you have the guitar you want, you should examine it. Be sure the neck is tight on the base and there are no cracks in the casing. The strings need to be just above the fret to allow vibrations without striking the neck.
Don't feel intimidated by the price. It's going to be something you use everyday and price does make a difference. Low end instruments are shoddy and tend to sound rather tinny and hollow. It'll also make it much harder to learn beginner blues guitar. If you are going to commit, you need to get a decent product the first time. When you play on a shoddy guitar will just un-motivated you from practicing. Talk to the salespeople. They tend to have mid-range products that have just as good quality as the name brands.
Now that you are ready to choose a dreams, you're ready to learn beginner blues guitar - time to sign up for lessons. They are usually reasonable prices. You can also rent DVD's and books to teach you the basics. I suggest if you want to learn well, go to a tutor. Nothing is better than guidance from a person who can answer your questions and show you proper techniques.
