Exs Condoms
EXS condoms were founded on a simple principle. Sex should be fun; it should be safe; and it shouldn't be prejudiced. When EXS condoms first hit the safe sex market in the early ‘90s, major prophylactic brands were creating condoms aimed specifically at heterosexual consumers (and segmented portions of the heterosexual market at that) – condoms that encouraged particular stereotypes, without paying much attention to the fact that a lot more people than just their apparent target audience were having sex.
EXS condoms changed all that. First, EXS condoms aimed at the gay market – and they aimed properly, with a genuine concern for the sexual health and safety of a group other condom manufacturers didn't want to know about. The “Boy's Own” EXS condoms were born – extra strong, extra grippy and extra safe. EXS condoms Boy's Own barriers and lubes were among the first protective sex products to be aimed at the UK gay man. Designed particularly for homosexual relations, EXS condoms Boy's Own range is now endorsed by major gay men's health organisations and is a market leader in the male same-sex market.
EXS condoms success in including the gay male market in a vital protective industry led them on to their next challenge: conquering the price gap in the straight safe sex world. When EXS condoms turned their attention to heterosexual condoms they realised that safe sex products were pricing whole sections of the population (sections probably in greater need of access to quality prophylactics than anyone else) out of the market. In the early ‘90s, when EXS condoms started producing heterosexually-oriented barrier products, condoms were simply too expensive.
EXS condoms began producing a range of quality condoms to be distributed by the NHS – where they can still be found today. EXS condoms quickly gained a reputation for affordable quality: EXS condoms conformed (and conform) to all necessary standards for preventative sex aids, but they didn't cost the earth and they weren't being marketed for exclusive sections of the population either. Not only that, but EXS condoms were (and are) fun – EXS condoms could be had in a range of flavours, colours and shapes, including the ribbed and dotted forms that are today's market leaders in the field of extra stimulation. EXS condoms had decided that sex should be safe, affordable and fun – a holy trinity that major condom manufacturers were pretty slow to catch up with.
Today, EXS condoms can still call themselves the forefront player in the world of prejudice-free safe sex. EXS condoms have developed clearly-branded strands to their condom production, all designed to include previously uncared-for areas of the safe-sex market: Boy's Own condoms, for the gay man; Girl's Own condoms, designed to be carried and used by girls; and the heterosexual male range of EXS condoms, which continues to provide accredited protection and premium pleasure at “supermarket” prices. EXS condoms have spent 20 years believing that love can still be as near to free as possible – they show no signs of changing their minds.
