Blue Strat

It has been revealed in the Nexus War back story that the magical city of Dalaran has been uprooted from the ground through the magic of its council of warlocks, the Kirin Tor. Now seen floating above Northrend, one would think that this city, much famed as Azeroth's magical capital, is free from danger. This is far from true, as you will find out once you get to play the dungeon known as The Violet Hold. This is one of the instances located within cities, and not regions. Like all the other dungeons in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, this one seems to be a winner, in that it involves a lot of action and dynamics. Read more about this faction below.

What is It?

The Violet Hold is actually a prison complex. It is located in the east of Dalaran.

What is the fight about?

If you aren't up to date with your Wrath of the Lich King lore, then let me update you. Malygos, the Blue Dragonflight Aspect, has returned from the clenches of his own insanity. Upon awakening, he deemed that the world's magic is out of control. Thus, he plans to take away all of the world's magic and annihilate all human magic users. This includes the council of Kirin Tor in Dalaran.

Dungeon Details:

Players with levels 75 to 77 are suggested to participate in this dungeon. The limit of this dungeon is set at 5. Once you and your team arrives in Dalaran, you will notice prison guards of the Kirin Tor trying to defeat enemies belonging to the Blue Dragonflight. They are trying to enter Dalaran using magical portals. The challenge comes in the fact that there isn't just one or two portals simultaneously opening. There are 18. So you and your team would have to keep a sharp eye for enemies coming out of each portal. In The Violet Hold dungeon, you would also have to watch out for portal guardians. In fact, you should kill them first since they are the ones who spawn the enemies. If you manage to survive unscathed until the 6th or 12th portal, then you're going to meet the big fish, the first two bosses. You will know that the time has come when a dragon that is impervious to attacks appears and opens the sealed prison cells where the bosses are. Below are the list of bosses. The first two are random, while the last will always be the same:

* Erekem

* Moragg

* Ichoron

* Xevozz

* Lavanthor

* Zuramat

And lastly, the big boss, Cyanigosa.

The technique here is to be quick in your decisions. Teamwork is especially vital here, since you have to coordinate your actions between all 18 portals. It's going to be a lot of fun, too!
